Lanikai Sugar Co. is pleased to be a part of Art Photo Hawaii. Lanikai Sugar Co. offers a treasure-trove of premier fine art photography by Susan Benay. Susan is a professional artist working in Kailua currently. Previously she received her MFA from Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. She has enjoyed a distinguished career as a fine artist for the past 35 years. She brings a unique, very special painterly approach to her imagery and has a passion to absorb all that the island has to offer and offer it back to others via photography.
She says, "When I arrived by ship some time ago, I immediately was swept away with Hawaii's amazing visual wonders. Very soon, I laid down my painter's brush and picked up my camera. From the glistening Pacific waters to the dazzling sun-drenched colors, this place is the absolute BEST!"
Susan's custom photographs are currently carried in island galleries and by shops in such fine hotels as the Kahala Mandarin Oriental, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, the Sheraton Moana Surfrider and the Turtle Bay Resort. And as a member of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, Lanikai Sugar Co. is dedicated to bringing the sweetness of the Islands to local venues and to people worldwide!
Nestled in the hills of the seaside community of Lanikai, in the windward town of Kailua, the Lanikai Sugar Co. is hard at work every day bringing the islands to you - wherever you are in the world! Rising early, to catch the first golden rays of the day, our camera's shutters never get enough sleep it seems. But that's okay, there's always time for an afternoon nap, a cool stroll along the beach, or a hike up the hills to gather the day's freshly fallen mangos.
